Paradise Goes Green!
As part of an ongoing plan to become a more sustainable wildlife park we are implementing a whole host of ‘green schemes' over the coming months to help achieve our objectives.
The task of making Paradise Wildlife Park more sustainable has been handed over to our newly appointed sustainability manager, Ashley Palmier. Since January he has carried out a vast number of environmental audits looking at ways the park can tackle climate change and become more sustainable.
Already new low energy lighting systems have been put into place in order to reduce the amount of electricity being consumed. The infrared heat bulbs which were previously used on the Animal Park have now been replaced with more up to date and more efficient PAR38 heat bulbs which use approximately 30% less energy to run.
