Deer
Slim, shy and speedy leaf-eaters, with tall antlers, long legs and brownish dappled coats - describes most of the 43 types of Deer around the world. They are mainly woodland creatures, which live in small family groups or herds, in all habitats from snowy tundra to tropical forests. In most species it is the males that grow antlers such as Red deer, but Reindeer are a unique member of the family, as both males and females grow antlers and then shed them each year.
