Adventure Playgrounds
Paradise Wildlife Park has five fantastic adventure playgrounds. Including Adventure Land, Fantasy Land and Funland.
Funland– a play area for the children situated conveniently next door to Tumble Jungle so you can grab a coffee while they play. There is plenty of seating for Mums, Dads and Brown Owl to take a breather and converted diggers* for the kids to practise their digging skills!
Adventureland – a play area at the other end of the Woodland Walk with wooden play equipment that you can crawl through, balance on, climb up and clamber over. It blends into the Woodland area on one side - watch out for the wild flowers – nettles can sting! – and into Thomas the Tank and our Pirate Galleon on the other.
Fantasyland – this play area is situated off our main car park and next to the Birds of Paradise Arena, it is smaller than the others and less busy. It would be the place we would recommend large groups to meet at if they need somewhere for children to be gathered together safely. It is also the place to say Mum! Look at me! I’m a fireman in my fire engine because it’s fantasyland and there really is a fire engine there and a gypsy caravan and a house,
In addition we have The Special Place with play equipment adapted for wheelchair users; if you wish to use this facility just mention it to the pay cabin staff or a member of staff on site.
Rides and Slides
When I get to the bottom, I go back to the top and slide down again and again and again and it doesn’t cost mummy a penny; that’s our helter skelter for you and our bouncy castles and our Toy Town roundabout. Available all year round unless we are painting them!
Our ancient woodland is home to some animals originally indigenous to the area but now under threat and also to a few free roaming species.
Deer, beaver, owls and foxes are here to represent British species that would originally have roamed free and we are delighted to say that our efforts to encourage the local wildlife are also attracting butterflies, hedgehogs and others into the area.
Armed with our leaflet from the pay cabin you can take a stroll along the Woodland Walk to enjoy the ambience and see if you can spot the flora & fauna thriving there. For the younger members of your family we have the Woodland Railway* to take the strain and a few dinosaurs along the way to make the trip one they won’t forget.
The tractor trailer ride is a great way to see our animals. Starting outside the Reptile Temple you will be taken on a tour of the paddock animals, gibbons and Big Cat Territory.
Paradise Lagoon
Paradise Lagoon paddling pool is the ideal way to cool off in the hot weather.
There's the hippo fountain and aztec slide so don't forget your swimmers.
Amusements
Crazy Sand* - Fill a pot with sand. Sounds easy but just watch the decisions your child has to make; what shape, what colours, how much? Don’t you just love this stuff? But you wouldn’t want that mess in your lounge really; leave the messy bit behind and take home your child’s work of art instead.
Learn how to drive on the Canyon Trucking remote control car track.*
Pan for precious stones at Jungle Gems.* Everyone loves finding hidden treasure and here’s your chance to find treasure among the murky depths, get it weighed and then go home with your Gemstone in gift box to prove you did it!
Or try your skills on the mini-diggers!*
