Tickle a Tapir!

Take a trip back in time and join us here at Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne to meet our amazing family of tapirs. Native to Brazil in South America, these prehistoric looking creatures have lived on the earth for some 35 million years. Tapirs are relatives of the horse and rhinoceros. They are friendly, inquisitive and love it when you give them a tickle.

Tickle a Tapir!

Tickle a Tapir!

This is a truly lovely experience because once you've managed to get them out of their pool and interested in some food they're really very friendly and fun to be around. Feed them whilst having all of your questions answered by one of our very knowledgeable Paddock Team. Gabriella and Temoko have successfully produced three offspring so we are especially proud of them. There is nothing they like more than having a good scratch and a tummy tickle! A souvenir t-shirt and certificate await you as a memento of your time spent with the tapirs but don't forget your camera and video to make your own souvenirs. Enjoy the rest of your day; arrive early and stay late to enjoy the other attractions and animals at the Park.
