Arriving at Paradise Wildlife Park

Coaches
There is plenty of free, designated coach parking at Paradise Wildlife Park and as well as free entry the drivers are welcome to collect a voucher for lunch from the Pay Cabin to use in Safari Sam’s Restaurant. Please advise us when booking if you will be arriving by coach.
Teachers
Once the coach has parked, one teacher from your group should attend the Pay Cabin to collect maps, event timetables and details of any pre-booked educational activities or talks. Payment is due upon arrival by cash, cheque or credit card. Cheques should be made payable to: Paradise Wildlife Park. We cannot invoice your group or except late payment.
Teachers Free Visit
Pupils
Children are always very excited upon arrival at the Park and we do ask that teachers are careful to supervise them on the car park. Toilets are situated on the main car park for all guests and include disabled cubicles. The children will probably be keen to visit the Animal Park first but don’t forget that there is so much more than that here for them. To the immediate right of the toilet block is the Birds of Paradise arena that has many varieties of birds from rare Lorikeets to Emus. Shows take place here regularly, weather permitting. There is also a small play area which may be a good meeting point for later in the day, as it is close to the Jungle Trading Post, a popular last stop. Behind Safari Sam’s Restaurant you can take the children through ancient woodland along our Woodland Walk and discover British species of Fox, Owls & Deer. There are also plenty of play areas here to let them run off steam. Shows are held in the Marquee or Discovery Centre also located off the main car park.
In the event of lost children please report them missing immediately to a member of staff who are recognisable by their distinct uniform and name badges. All staff are able to initiate an immediate response via their radio. All lost children who cannot be reunited immediately with their responsible adult will be taken to the Pay Cabin.
Be Prepared
What To Wear
Paradise Wildlife Park is set in 21 acres of landscaped gardens, with tarmac pathways that allow easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Clothing should be comfortable, lightweight and suitable for current weather conditions. Hats are a good idea in all seasons either for shade or warmth and footwear should be weatherproof and comfortable. Sun cream is advisable in hot weather even though there is plenty of shade on site. A rucksack is a good idea for carrying packed lunches. Please be aware that we are unable to refund admission due to inclement weather.
First Aid
There are always qualified first aid personnel on site and if any member of your party requires assistance please contact you nearest member of staff who will be able to assist you. If necessary we will contact the emergency services on your behalf and complete any paperwork required to report the incident.
The Jungle Trading Post
This is our souvenir shop, which is packed with plenty of ideas to remind you of your visit. However, they may not all be affordable options for your party, if you wish to avoid the congestion of the shop and take the dilemma out of children choosing their own souvenirs, please pre-book your goody bags. They can be for the value of £1.50 or £2.50 and will contain a selection of postcards, notebooks, pencils and badges.
Lunch Facilities
We have our own catering facility on site called Safari Sam’s, which provides sandwiches, salads and fast food options, please contact Angela Sampson if you would like a quote for your party. There are also a number of outdoor picnic areas that you are welcome to use. During inclement weather we will do our best to provide your party with a suitable indoor area to enjoy packed lunches, although circumstances beyond our control may prevent this and you may be required to share the area with other groups.
Supervision and Behaviour
We expect children at Paradise Wildlife Park to be fully supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Our animals are fed nutritionally balanced diets and we would appreciate your co-operation in ensuring that your pupils understand that they should only be fed with the prepared food available for purchase on site. Occasionally we will ask the public to respect the privacy of animals that have recently given birth or are unwell, these areas will be clearly signposted.
Visitor Code Of Conduct

It is the policy of Paradise Wildlife Park not to tolerate:

Any injury, danger or distress to our animals;

Abuse to our staff;

Or damage to our property.

Such behaviour will result in immediate exclusion from the premises

And legal action if necessary.
