CLOSE ENCOUNTERS
A half hour classroom based “show and tell” session where they will meet a few of our animal friends!
The children will meet a variety of our smaller animals and discover the difference between fur, feather and scales.
FEEDING TIME
A presentation showing a variety of animals and how they feed.
Followed by a “meet the animals” session
Key Stage 1
We have two fun and exciting classroom based topics for you to choose from. Each is designed to cover key stage one in the National Curriculum and last for approximately half an hour.
NEED FOR FEED
This topic looks at a variety of animals to see what and how they eat. We will discover why some animals eat meat, some animals eat plants, and some animals, like humans, eat everything!
HIDE & SEEK
In this session we look at different animals coats, colours and patterns. We will explore why certain animals are the colours they are and how they use their patterns to survive.
Key Stage 2
We have two fun and exciting classroom based topics for you to choose from. Each is designed to cover key stage two in the National Curriculum and last for approximately half an hour.
ADAPTATION TO HABITAT
The focus of this session is the amazing ways in which animals have evolved and adapted in order to survive the various habitats and environments of the world.
CONSERVATION IN PARADISE
Children today are very aware of environmental issues and conservation efforts. In this topic we will look at the problems threatening wildlife in different countries around the world. We will focus on habitat loss, hunting and human population growth.
