Red Deer

They are the largest of the UK's resident deer species.

Throughout the year, they will forage in different areas. In Europe, Red Deer is the largest non-domesticated mammal still existing in some countries such as the United Kingdom and Ireland. During the rut, stags have a distinctive roar-like sound to keep them together and it is this roar that attracts the females.
