Come and visit Santa in his Grotto at Paradise this Christmas. You can meet him & his animal friends at Hertfordshire's leading zoo, where there is lots of festive fun to have this Christmas!

Santa's Grotto


Santa arrives from Saturday 23rd November and will be here every weekend and selected weekdays until 15th December after which he will be here everyday!

Your visit to Santa’s Grotto includes Christmas arts and crafts and the opportunity to write your letters to Santa, if you havn’t done so already – so make sure you bring your Christmas lists with you!

Santa has sent us his timetable:

  • Saturday 23rd November – 1pm to 3.30pm
  • Sunday 24th November – 10am to 11am – 1.30pm to 3.30pm
  • Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December – 10am to 3.30pm
  • Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in December 10am to 3.30pm
  • 15th December to 23rd December – 10am to 3.30pm
  • Christmas Eve – 10am to 2pm (Santa has a busy night ahead!!)


All children receive a sticker, badge and a gift from the toy of their choice from the toy factory.

Important Information

  • Adults can accompany children into the Grotto without purchasing a special ticket but will not receive a Christmas Gift.
  • Please note Santa’s Grotto CANNOT be booked online for the same day. Online bookings can ONLY be booked up to 48 hours before.
  • You will need to purchase a day ticket to the park as this is not included in your visit to Santa’s Grotto.
  • Santa’s Grotto is located in the park and therefore cannot be visited separately.
  • Children under the age of 2 years are FREE to enter the park but must purchase a Grotto Ticket.
  • A maximum of 3 children can visit Santa per 10 minute time slot.
  • Tickets to see Santa can also be purchased on the day from the Gift Shop. Tickets do not have to be pre-booked but spaces will be limited on the day and are on a first come first served basis
  • Allow 30 minutes in total (includes Arts and Crafts 20 minutes before meeting Santa).
  • If you are late for your booking children will not be allowed to take part in the arts and crafts and will be given them to take home.
