Optimus has been with us for 17 years and is one of the largest snakes we’ve ever had at Paradise Wildlife Park! She weighs in at an incredible 93kg and stretches out to a length of 17ft! Optimus is the largest Green Anaconda currently on display in the UK and she is so impressive, that in 2014, Sir David Attenborough visited Paradise to specifically meet her.
She is always very interested in what the keepers are doing and loves to come and investigate to make sure everyone is doing a good job. When Optimus isn’t checking up on the teams cleaning skills, she can be found relaxing in her large, heated pool watching all the visitors and team members go by.
