Massive congratulations to Lynn Whitnall for completing the 2019 London Classics

Tue 8th October

Our CEO Lynn Whitnall took to the London Classics by storm this year by completing the medley of 3 tough sporting challenges this year: The 26.2 mile London marathon, 100 mile London – Surrey cycle race and the 2 mile Serpentine Swim. This is a massive achievement that everyone here at Paradise Wildlife Park is proud of. It’s amazing to see Lynn take on these challenging competitions and excel so brilliantly in them – an inspiration to us all!

This year Lynn completed her 16th consecutive London marathon in aid of President’s Sporting Club, Essex Disabled Sports Foundation, Zoological Society of Hertfordshire and The Big Cat Sanctuary. Lynn raised over £10K for her chosen charities including drive4wildlife but her fundraising efforts do not stop here! Lynn continues to fundraise whenever she can, which helps the charities carry on with the remarkable work they do – make sure to check out Lynn’s fundraising page.

Lynn would like to take this opportunity to thank her incredibly supportive family, friends and colleagues; especially her mum for being her number one supporter throughout. A thank-you must also go out to Bev, her brilliant training buddy; to Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club where she trained during the winter early hours and to Broxbourne running club for being a wonderful fitness community.

But Lynn has no plans of slowing down. She has full intention to participate in the Half and Full Iron Man challenge, as well as another London Marathon.

Remaining motivated especially when you have the busiest of schedules like Lynn’s is super important. Lynn is motivated by her fitness standards, using the training as a break from her hectic daily routines and that she is raising money and awareness for outstanding charities.
