Reticulated Python Home Makeover

Fri 31st July

During lockdown, the team at Paradise wanted something new for our amazing supporters to come back to. We have completely transformed the Reticulated Python habitat.

We knocked down the wall that separated two older habitats to make one huge one! Complete with new pool, both of our Reticulated Pythons can be spotted either curled up under one of the heat lamps or stretching out taking a dip in their pool.

Book your tickets now to come see our new habitat in the Temple of Angkor!

Did you know?

Reticulated Pythons are the longest snakes on earth.

Because of their size they are slower moving than a lot of other snakes but still have the ability to move quickly when necessary.

Their skin markings provide superb camouflage amongst the foliage on the ground, giving them a great hunting advantage despite not having any venom.

Female reticulated pythons are capable of laying between 60 and 100 eggs at a time, which take between 70-90 days to hatch.
