Celebrating Volunteers Week!

Thu 1st June

Join us as we say thank you to all our volunteers

Here at Paradise Wildlife Park, we are celebrating our volunteers and the incredible support they provide us across the Park. Volunteers Week takes place in the first week of June each year and acts as a chance to recognise the fantastic contributions volunteers make to our communities across the country and for us to say thank you. Here at the park, we would not be able to achieve our goals or continue to spread awareness of our conservation efforts without the incredible team of our volunteers. We are extremely proud to have such a passionate team of volunteers who work across all sectors of our park.

Volunteering is the act of an individual freely giving their time and labour. Volunteers do not receive payment and give their time due to their care and passion for the sector. Volunteers play a key role in any business and we wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for our volunteers.  Our volunteers have assisted in all our events from Summer Evenings at the Zoo and Dinos After Dark to supporting conservation efforts at our Dine4Wildlife Charity Ball. Most recently, we have had our volunteers help build awareness as we rebrand to Hertfordshire Zoo on April the 1st 2024, at the Herts County Show. Our volunteers are the perfect advocates to represent our park as through their passion and excitement they are able to help provide information to others about how they too can join the family here at the Park.

Our newest team of zoo engagement volunteers has allowed our volunteers to spend more time talking with our visitors and providing information about our animals and events here at the park. Over the coronation weekend, we held a volunteer drive where our amazing volunteers greeted our visitors and helped sign up more people for our volunteer team. We would like to take this moment to thank all our volunteers across the site, from zookeeping, and gardening to the volunteers who run our conservation cabin. We would like to say a massive thank you for all their continuous hard work and dedication here at Paradise Wildlife Park. Without our volunteers and their passion, it wouldn’t be possible to continue the work that we do.

Did you know you can volunteer with us? Here at Paradise our volunteers assist with our animal keepers, raising vital funds for conservation, and general park maintenance as well as providing fun facts to our visitors. If you are interested in making a difference and helping to support animal education and conservation, volunteer with us today! Please contact us for more information at: volunteer@pwpark.com
