The site is accessible for most people with level tarmac pathways and our enclosures have glass panels so that whatever height you’re at you get a good view of the animals. We have ramp access to viewing panels at the Wolf enclosure, Gibbon enclosure, the Reptile house and the rainforest exhibition.
In addition, we have The Learn & Play Area with play equipment adapted for wheelchair users; if you wish to use this facility just mention it to the pay cabin staff or a member of staff on site.
We also have disabled accessible toilets situated in the Animal Park and one on the main car park alongside the Discovery Centre with both right and left handed opening doors. We offer a special access toilet facility with a hoist & bed in the toilets outside th Discovery Centre.
We have extensive Animal experience packages on offer and the majority of these are accessible to our disabled visitors. In particular, our Lemur and Meerkat enclosures are able to offer wheelchair access.
The Discovery Centre provides facilities for corporate events and classroom based lectures. It is fitted with an induction loop and is wheelchair accessible.
And dads too of course! Mother & child facilities include food warming facilities in both The Safari Suite and The Tumble Jungle indoor play area. There are baby changing facilities in the toilet block on the main car park and at The Tumble Jungle. We can provide a private room where mothers are welcome to feed their babies if they prefer, please contact the pay cabin staff for a key.
