Ring Tailed Lemur

Ring-Tailed Lemurs

Ring-Tailed Lemurs can be found in the Southern rainforests of Madagascar.  Ring-Tailed Lemurs are one of 112 known species of Lemur only found in Madagascar. They are sustainability heroes because they do the following:

  • When sunbathing, Ring-Tailed lemurs adopt a yoga-like posture, sitting on their haunches and stretching out their legs to warm up their underside highlighting their energy efficient behaviours.
  • These lemurs are amazingly clean creatures, always grooming themselves after feeding. So-called “dental comb” of these animals is a comb-like row of teeth, helping them groom themselves. They also use the long claws on the second toes of their hind feet as a grooming tool.

Made out of recycled and sustainable materials these lifelike Ring-Tailed Lemur sculptures emulates how this incredible species uses sustainability in the wild to make their lives more efficient.
