Baryonyx pronounced Bare-ee-on-icks

Means:   Heavy claw

Period:   Early Cretaceous - 125 million years ago

Where:   England and Europe

Baryonyx was a carnivorous dinosaur with long, narrow crocodile-like jaws. They had 96 serrated teeth, and foot-long claw on each of their hands, making them a master fisherman.  

They measured up to 9.5 metres in length and weighed more than 2 tonnes.
