As a charity, we appreciate your generosity in donating items for us to sell and raise funds. Whether it's an unwanted gift or an ornament that no longer fits in, if it's in good condition then we can convert it into cash that will go to help a wildlife project somewhere in the world. Many of the donated items will be sold at the Zoological Society of Hertfordshire cabin in the Park. We will also sometimes sell items on eBay to reach a wider audience.
So if you have any items you think would benefit the charity, please get in touch.
Zoological Society of Hertfordshire is registered with eBay as a charitable seller. Selling items this way maximises our income as donated gifts find their own values and eBay refund their fees, under their “eBay for Charities Scheme”.
In addition you can help us when you sell on eBay by donating a percentage of your sale value. This is described below. Auctions for charities all carry the charity ribbon symbol and include a brief paragraph about the charity. So you’ll always know you are benefiting Friends of Paradise Wildlife Park.
You could help our conservation work each time you sell something and earn fee credits on your listing.
Every time you sell an item for charity, you’ll get a fee credit on your basic insertion and final value fees equal to the percentage you donate. So if you donate 50% of your selling price to a charity, eBay will waive 50% of your fees.
Any fee credits will appear on your next invoice.
Gift Aid is one of the easiest ways to make your donation tax effective. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, the charity will receive an extra 25p from the government. Simply tick the Gift Aid box when you first list an item for charity, provided you are a UK tax payer, and MissionFish will collect the Gift Aid from the government and pass it on to your chosen charity.
Please help us do even more to help animal conservation projects in the UK and around the world.
