Guinness World Record Title Holder at Paradise

Tue 2nd February

Guinness World Record title holder

The Guinness World Record title holder is no other than our Director, Lynn Whitnall.

As the 40th Virgin Money London Marathon could not take place in 2020, Lynn took part in the virtual London Marathon on Sunday 4th October 2020 and is now a Guinness World Records title holder!

Lynn & more than 37,000 people, from all corners of the world, completed in the virtual event. The final finisher total of 37,966 means the event has been awarded an official Guinness World Records title for the most users to run a remote marathon in 24 hours.

The virtual marathon was Lynn’s 18th consecutive London Marathon, raising vital funds for our charities the Zoological Society of Hertfordshire & The Big Cat Sanctuary.  Lynn’s route covered all areas of Paradise Wildlife Park and the surrounding towns, finishing at our new habitat ‘Land of the Tigers’.

From this incredible feat, Lynn is not only receiving a medal but can also claim a coveted Guinness World Records certificate to mark this amazing achievement.
